Belt Buckle ID help requested

Looking for any suggestions as to the age, tribe and perhaps the artist of this belt buckle found in Arizona. No artist’s stamp on the back, but there is an engraving that was added later and may/may not be related to the artist. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

My instinct is that this is Anglo/non-Native made. Indian head nickel appliques and charging bears were a thing in the 70s-80s among artisans, sometimes added to leather work.

I have some Buffalo nickel findings from Thunderbird Supply purchased in the mid 1980’s.
They are Nickel silver.
I remember a few Navajo artists that were at the Gallup Flea Market selling Buffalo Nickel items.
