Collecting Coins and Bills

Thanks. Sometimes there are errors or imperfections when coins are minted.
There is also what is called PMD, AKA Post Mint Damage that happens.

There is a lot to learn @Ziacat . Just take your time. The average ungraded CC coins are going for $220 - $300. But you have to inspect each and compare to the PCGS price list.

If you need any assistance feel free to PM me both sides of coins and I’ll be glad to help. I’ve slabbed quite a few coins and bills in the past year.

Thank you, I may take you up on that eventually! But I think they will just sit for a while; maybe some rainy sat when my husband has to work

I did look through and there are no CC’s.

No worries @Ziacat, that’s a nice project for cold winter days.

Here is one of my favorite inherited coins.
A 1923 Philadephia mint, Liberty or Peace Dollar.
The no mint mark indicates Philadelphia.

A different mint mark would be located on the reverse, left of the Eagle’s tail, under ONE.

These are the coins that I have the most of, and it is a pretty design. I finally found where the mint mark is, but before I googled it, this is what was confusing me.

Now I know!

What you circled are the initials of the designer, Anthony de Francisci.
The mint mark is located on the reverse, left side, between the word ONE and the Eagle’s tail.
