i sent some cufflinks and navajo buttons to be converted a couple of years ago (to Dayton Simmons) and they turned out amazing!

@RedlandMaggie, Dayton Simmons typically has a booth at the El Dorado Hotel (along with countless other traders) during Indian Market in Santa Fe. He is also happy to discuss repairs through emails/messages; I’ve used him several times.

Here’s another example of an alteration I made to a Kewa mosaic pendant by Stephanie Medina purchased at the Wheelwright Museum many years ago. I should have a “before” photo for comparison, but it had only a simple wire loop for a chain. I had my now retired jeweler (Lucky Preston, Native American - Washoe) set it in silver with a few silver drops. The earrings, purchased separately, I’ve left as is. I have other Kewa mosaic pendants I’ve left “natural.”
I have several inlaid shells that I had set in silver, but wasn’t sure about this pendant. I’m happy with the final result; he did a great job. I can wear it with a variety of chains.
And a picture of the reverse; Lucky left an opening so Stephanie’s hallmark ,a small turquoise bead, could be seen:

I have several pairs of screw backs earrings, I was wondering if they could be converted without harming the stones?

I had a couple pairs converted, however I had it done by a jeweler who works specifically with Native American jewelry. You might try contacting Palms Trading in Albuquerque, they fixed one of my pairs, or Perry Null in Gallup, NM. You don’t want anyone who isn’t used to working with Native American Jewelry to try to convert them.
