@GreenRock here are a few variations of cuprite I found that resemble the stone you posted
One more for good luck
@GreenRock I freaking love the setting!!! I wish I could wear copper because I get allergic reactions from it I’d wear this proudly!!
@Blackturtlehawk , you nailed it! I purchased the pendant because it was different and I recently found some copper bracelets for $5. I don’t by name brands or certain types of stones. These things find me. I was at this jewelry store that had an entire building of vintage jewelry… anything from Avon to fine Victorian. I made a second pass around the cases because I had this weird feeling that I was missing something. It appeared so unexpected, like it called to me. When I asked to see it, it felt well made and the stone was so interesting! Then when I saw it was marked, that sealed the deal for a game of “clue”. Now I’m wondering what I should string it on. My go to pearls wouldn’t look quite right with the copper color. Any ideas? Black cord? That seems a little meh tho.
@GreenRock you scored and it clearly was meant for you as it called you!
You can probably go all the way with a matching copper chain if you don’t have allergies, (copper is a very reactive metal it gives birth to new minerals, turquoise, azurite, chrysocolla, malachite, cuprite, Covellite, ajoite) like a chain like this or something similar?
I was thinking a black cord but it depends on which type or some black beaded necklace?
And if copper chain is a problem what about some golden brown woven bolo cord? I bought a roll on Amazon to repair an old bolo. Got the color to match the matrix.
