Ok, I have to inquire. Am I the only Member who kept getting the message that this Domain Name expired on 8/8/26? This started around 8 pm last night. Same message even using different browsers. Same message received using my husband’s phone. I just now got into the forum.

Yes, I noticed it about 11:00 last night; mine was kicking me out to some other site that was supposedly selling gemstones (riiight) so I assumed it had been hacked.
I was really worried also without all y’all!

@Ziacat Hacked was my first thought. But, then, the messages about the Domain Name expiring didn’t necessarily indicate hacking to me. I, too, thought the forum was gone forever.

If this forum ever becomes a burden for Jason, or something less than desirable happens to this community I hold so dear, you all have my word that if I’m unable to take the reigns from Jason, I will start a new forum where we can all continue this passion of ours.

@Ravenscry Thank you! I don’t recall if I’ve expressed this before or not. I know there are costs involved in hosting any online site. I’m more than happy & willing to pay for an annual Membership fee. (Or, some similar set up for contributing funds to help keep this forum active.)

I was being re-directed to a web page called something like find online results dot com. My virus software flagged it and prevented access. I am so glad everything is back to normal.

You know, I’m annoyed that my phone didn’t flag it and block my access. Grrrr

Coupled with the great camaraderie that this community yields, there is an irreplaceable wealth of knowledge already shared and innumerable priceless discussions that I feel are too important to let go of without a severe fight.
What we do here is important. We’ll never know the reach that our contributions have, and how greatly they can affect someone performing research or quietly pursuing similar interests. It would be an honor, if the day ever comes, to preserve our irreplaceable Turquoise People.
@Jason, along with @Patina and @Ziacat, if this is something that would ever cross your mind, I too, would be willing.

I saw this same page last night around midnight cst , too. Even though I don’t post much, I get on the turquoise people site here daily as part of my wind down routine at night. I was really sad when I thought it was gone. I routinely have trouble sleeping and am on here in the middle of the night, too. I so enjoy learning and reading ( and the rabbit trail research it leads me into) and the friendly safe camaraderie here. It is truly a unique ‘place’ in this crazy world we live in.
