First Time at SWAIA. Advice for a beginner?

I’m glad you were able to download the magazine. Last year on the plane I sat next to a lady and her husband who had a time share and had been coming to Market every year for like 20 years. I was reading my Native American Art Magazine guide to Market, and when I showed it to her she was amazed at all there was to do. She started taking pictures of the pages. In all her years coming she had never realized how much there was going on.

These days we forget the power of cash!! It’s easier on the seller to take as you already mentioned! Thank you for the reminder to us all. Cash is still king.

I definitely agree with @Ziacat and @OrbitOrange; wear your jewelry! It’s fun seeing the wonderful variety of jewelry and talking with other jewelry fanatics . I always take much more than I can wear. Between the Wheelwright show and benefit sale, the Free Market and the SWAIA show, I’ve never had time to spend at the huge El Dorado; but there are tons of great vendors there! Then here are fabulous galleries that set up at several hotels around the Plaza. We stay Thursday through Sunday and always wish we had more time! TAH is correct about food, the restaurants around the plaza are typically packed. Fortunately the hotel where we always stay (Inn on the Alameda), and others (?) have coffee and some food out at 6am, but also a full buffet breakfast later in the morning. So we can head out early then come back for a quick late morning break before heading out again after brunch.
It’s crowded and can be overwhelming, but also a wonderful time!
