For Horse Lovers Only

I mentioned in another post a few days ago that I’m visiting my aunt in NM. She lives at the CS Ranch near Cimarron. I thought I’d share photos of a few of the ranch horses, no one else in my life really cares. It does my soul good to be here
They are: the stud they just retired, ranch geldings, a curious yearling, the new stallion (red roan) with the mares, and my “not” cousin during the last branding of the year on Thursday.

So beautiful!! Love all the pics, but that one in front of the mountains is perfect. We drove through that area back in '18, and it was gorgeous. Lucky you!! I understand not having other horse people around you. Only one besides me was my mom, and now she’s gone. Thanks for sharing!

We just rode through Cimmaron about two hours ago. It is a beautiful area.
Our route today is Red River NM to Elkhart KS. There is a little shop in Eagle Nest that has a bit of NA jewelry. It’s called Eagle Nest Mercantile. The Jewelry Lady from Red River moved to the mercantile.

My husband’s uncle who was a Catholic priest went to the boy scouts Philmont Ranch jamborees for decades. He loved it out there.

Those are all lovely places with great names!!

Soon you will leave the land of Native jewelry, so you will have to come visit the Eiteljorg

I don’t believe I will make it this year as I blew through my budget. :flushed:

Robert Johnson will be at Eiteljorg. He is doing some stunning stamp work on carinated bracelets. I think Cheyenne Custer is going too.

Please do some browsing for the forum.

I didn’t see her name on the list, but I’ll have to check again. I did see Robert Johnson’s. One year I looked at his carinated cuffs, and considered buying one, but ended up spending my money on my Reggie Mitchell cuff

She said she was placed on the wait/hold list and she most likely won’t be going. :frowning:

That’s too bad. They must have had a lot of applicants.
