Help finding information on a vintage Silver Turquoise Grizzly Bear Cuff Bracelet

I’m hoping to get some insight on a substantial vintage sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet that appears to incorporate a genuine bear claw. The piece weighs 150 grams and has no hallmark or maker’s mark, which I understand is not uncommon in older Native work.

The craftsmanship suggests maybe Navajo (possibly 1970s–1990s), but I’d love feedback from those more experienced. I’ve come across information suggesting that selling items containing real bear parts may be restricted or illegal in some areas, even if the piece is vintage. I want to make sure I fully understand the regulations before considering any next steps.

If anyone recognizes the construction style, stone work, or has thoughts on origin, I would sincerely appreciate your expertise.

I have this vintage silver & turquoise cuff bracelet with a genuine bear claw, I’ve been trying to research information about it as there is no hallmark or markings on it but what I’ve read online it’s illegal to sell items with real bear parts even if vintage. Would love any help with information if anyone recognizes it’s style or origins?

Looks like a black bear claw. Here is a link for each state. No guarantee the list is up to date so check with the individual states of interest.

Thank you, I’ll check into it!

found these 2 examples that were hallmarked with just a single H as well as a Sterling stamp.

both lack a claw but construction and design elements are similar.

your cuff with the claw but without any hallmarks may have been made by the same hand or shop wishing to remain unknown.

also research M. Thomas Jr.

The use of cast animals in particular indicates to me this is the product of a commercial workshop rather than the independent artistic work of a known individual artist. Items like this are often made by a number of different silversmiths adhering to a general bill of materials and style template.
