II bought it on eBay from a store in Indiana that sells items from thrift stores fleamarket and state sales.
It is sterling silver.
Sold to me as an american native piece.
Thank you for providing the additional notes. Following @Islandmomma suggestion of Nestoria Coriz, I did some internet searching. Ms. Coriz is contemporary, producing since about 1960. Of the photos I found, I did not see work similar to yours. However, that could indicate that you have a very unique piece. I would suggest contacting dealers in NM for assistance. A quick email with your photos may identify the mark and work. Maybe start with Malouf on the Plaza. Good luck!
