Modern Jacia Necklace

I made this from mostly vintage materials in 2018.

Materials purchased in the 1980’s.
Turquoise sold as Kingman by Thunderbird Supply.
Natural red coral from Thunderbird supply.
Shell heishe beads.
Sterling, round beads.
Sterling end cones.

Modern elements.
Lobster claw clasp.
Polished shell.
Wood bead.
Crimp beads.

It was strung on vintage Spiderwire fishing line. I have used this since the 1980’s as it is very durable and long lasting.

Cost of mid 1980’s materials was about $20.00. Other materials were about $2.00.
I spent about 3 hours making the necklace.
The necklace hangs at about 22” with the jacia.

It has some problems. The orange shell is not in the traditional form for jacia necklaces.

What would you value it at?
I have listed for sale many times and taken to shows, but it has never sold.
It cannot be sold as Native American made, as I am only 18% Native American. I was trained by Navajo artists in how to make their styles of jewelry in the 1980’s. ]

!

Thank you.
