Naja squash blossom necklace possible identification of age?

I’m looking to see if I can get some help with aging this necklace. A few appraisers have told me Navajo.

I believe it has some verdigris occuring which means copper or bronze soldering from what I’ve been told.

Does that type of soldering style have a specific date range? It’s been identified at sandcast at least for the naja.

Thanks for any help!

Was this tested for sterling or other silver purities?

@Enrose Hi & Welcome. I’m just curious. What information do you have about the necklace that you can share? Did you inherit it through your family? Did you purchase it? Sometimes knowing background information on a piece of jewelry can be helpful.

Hi and thank you! It was gifted to my grandmother by my grandfather. He bought it from a pawnshop that a friend of his owned in Arizona I believe. He bought this piece along with one or 2 other piecesof jewelry (which don’t match). Unfortunately that’s all we have!

No. I’ve had multiple shop owners look at it but never got it tested. Also an appraiser looked at it. They’ve all collectively said sterling silver in sandcast.

I can’t help you with age, but it’s a lovely squash. And yes, the Naja appears to be sand or tufa cast.
