I recently received this necklace but I’m unsure of when it may have been crafted and what sort of turquoise. I’ve done research and I’ve talked to a few appraisers. However, I’m more interested in additional information about the necklace itself, rather than the value.
Excuse the heavy patina, I’ve been too paranoid of ruining it that I’ve elected not to clean it.

@sarahmooredesign Hi & Welcome. That’s a very nice squash blosssom necklace! Just a few opinions about the necklace ~ looks like it could be 1980s or later. The silver beads are possibly handmade but, I’m not positive about that. Honestly, without provenance, it’s challenging to determine the mine or type of turquoise. I think these turquoise cabs are beautiful. As far as patina on sterling jewelry, it’s really a matter of personal preference whether to polish or not polish. If you choose to polish, I’d suggest lightly with a polishing cloth. The “C.L.” on the naja looks like a maker’s hallmark. The “YTH” in a circle may be a Trading Post code for pricing.
