You could also dab some bleach (with qtip) on areas u want patina and within few minutes you will have it. This is also good test for verifying silver.

Here’s a quick pic of the finished buckle. Turned out great thanks to @Jason. I did tweak it a little to get it just right. I’ll let nature take over from here. Still can’t believe I found one.
