Nevada Turquoise?

Recently I looked at some turquoise cabs for sale that were labeled only as “Nevada turquoise”:

So, I’m wondering, what is Nevada turquoise? It doesn’t really identify the turquoise…just a location? If one knows where the turquoise is from, how can they not know the mine, or mining district where it was mined? Is it just called Nevada because it’s greenish and turquoise from Nevada typically has a higher concentration of iron imparting the greenish hue?
There are so many mines in Nevada. To my eye this could be Fox or Pilot Mountain, but who knows.
But wait…it’s gets better. These cabs are NORTHERN Nevada turquoise!!! Does this make it any better​

I’d like to get some idea what forum members think about labeling turquoise by the state instead of the mine.

An interesting topic @Bmpdvm. I have 2 rings that I purchased in NM. Both were sold simply as “Nevada Green” turquoise. I think Nevada Green has a “look” (if that makes sense) and it just gets marketed that way ‘cause a specific mine is unknown. Maybe because there’re so many mines in NV it’s challenging to identify all of it by specific mines​. It doesn’t really bother me that this occurs. Of course, I’m not purchasing turquoise jewelry for thousands of dollars, either. Then, I’d want provenance and a named mine. The turquoise in the 3rd photo looks like Chinese turquoise, imo.
