Real or fake

Hi I bought these stone about 20 years ago in the Middle East at a Chinese market and I don’t know if they are real turquoise. I was told it was but I’m clueless. Please help.

On the first glimpse, they could be real. Nice looking. Seen fairly similar Chinese turquoise in New Mexico. If they’re real, you hold a little fortune.

I just recognized, they’ve been part of a necklace or so. In one of the holes, scratch off just a tiny bit, with a metal nail or so. If the turquoise color disappears in deeper layers, the stones are dyed. I had one bead smashed with a hammer, to find out that the stone inside was white.
