Screw back earrings

Those are all beautiful! I would love to see and hear how the conversions went if you do have them done!

Thanks Chris :slightly_smiling_face: I’ll definitely post here how it goes. It’s probably going to be a while. I need to find someone who can do them for me.

Check out Perry Null trading. They do excellent work at reasonable prices.

You could start out with this for hardly any money and see how you like them. Lots of inexpensive options out there.

Oh, those are cool! Where did you find those @StevesTrail

Those were on Amazon. Many jewelry supply companies sell them to anyone. Check out Rio Grande, Santa Fe Jewelers Supply, Indian Jewelers Supply, Etsy, eBay… Google “sterling ball stud with loop” and earwire, dangle. Here are some variations:

Awesome, thanks a bunch!

You could even use NA studs and slip the post through the loop in the dangle. Then you could use multiple studs with them.

Thanks for the great ideas! I’ll do some experiments, and see what I can come up with. I think the easiest ones to play with might be the “stud” earrings.

Imma need to know exactly where you found the ones with the shells on the front…. I have several pairs of tabs/slabs that need an upgrade.

All these ear wires have been saved from finds over the years. The backs are marked: 925 CNA THAILAND

I like using leverback over fishhook when I convert mine as they don’t slide out if you have a collared shirt on - a bit more secure.

This isn’t going to be a popular answer, but I have converted a few pairs of my clip back earrings very cheaply using craft store pierced backs and crafting glue. If you want someone to do it properly with silver, don’t follow my advice, but this works for the more costume pieces.
