why the blank would you want to polish it?

Some things I leave alone because I love the patina. This item I want to wear and polishing would give greater contrast to the gold and silver. Plus it is more of a modernistic piece, so keeping it antiquated is not of interest to me.

Just wanted to add for our collectors the group that the Lapis and Sugilite rings and Sugilite earrings are astonishingly underpriced. The stones have dulled a bit from wear, but this is gem grade material and will polish up beautifully. These items were likey made in my workshop for Palms Trading back in the late 80s, and are offered for far less than their current fair retail value.
The turquoise ring with double triangle wire border, and the hand made belt buckle with the Sugilite setting are very nice items as well, all priced well under fair market value.
