Pretty squash, although I would not call it old pawn. That is a term that is consistently misused. You need to have a pawn ticket for it to be actual pawn, and old pawn would need to be very old which this doesn’t appear to be. But maybe your mother knew that she bought it as pawn? However, you would still need a ticket to sell it as pawn. Here is a link to a very helpful discussion we had on here sometime ago. It does look like it could be Kingman turquoise.
