What are people's thoughts on this caveman sandcast the white stone is a elk ivory

What exactly do you want us to respond to? Is this something you own? Are you intending to sell it and are looking for how to describe it? Gotta say, “Caveman” is a witty descriptor.

Mind sharing where it came from, and what were you told about it? How you know that the whitish stone is elk ivory?

This is fabricated, not sand cast. Looks experimental, amateur. White stone looks like a mother of pearl cab, not ‘ivory’ (this could simply be lighting). If you’re really interested in learning about what’s what, and not simply trying to figure this out so that you can flip it (quite common for new posters lately), I suggest you spend a great deal of time reading forums like this one to gain useful knowledge about the craft and materials.

A piece of advice for the future: If you’re truly interested in learning, and you don’t know what you have, say so, and ask those who actually do know.

Im trying to talk my wife into letting me buy it!

My daughter’s belt buckle has her ivory in it. Just trying to get my wife ro say I can buy it!

Just looking for support it actually might be worth something

Honestly, its commercial value is pretty much whatever the materials will bring at melt. If you’re considering purchasing, scrap value is fair value for this piece. Anything more is pure blue sky.

A female has posted your jewelry, this and another cuff you’ve posted here, on a Facebook group for opinions. Could this be your wife? In any case, nobody there is enraptured by this piece.

You asked, so: It is objectively and subjectively not a bracelet with appeal. It’s poorly made, the aesthetics are not good. Here’s the thing: know your goals. If your goal is to spend money on nice Native American jewelry, it’s doable if you invest time to build a sense of quality.

THOUGHTS

cuff shows it was bent at a stress point and subject to cracking 1 or both rails. 1 rail hidden by thumb. I would pass.

OP, maybe consider researching Effie Calavasa’s work for better quality and execution? I think her work has a similar design. Here are some examples of hers:

Yes that’s my wife. I was more interested if it’s old? I don’t care if it’s perfect.

Thanks for responding,
