I recently inherited what looks to be authentic Navajo and Zuni jewelry (along with some pieces from Mexico. Beautiful, huge squash blossom necklaces, lots of turquoise, huge silver cuffs, gorgeous rings… I am totally new to all of this, but I recognize that these pieces have value. Someone suggested just selling them for scrap silver and I was appalled. They’re so beautiful and unique, that I need to find them good homes. The problem is, there are so many that I’m a bit overwhelmed. For example, I have a few pieces marked BEGAY, but I don’t know which one!!
There is a native american pawn shop near me, but how can I be sure that they’re not going to take advantage of me? Any tips on where to start are appreciated!!
