What do y’all think about this stone?

What do y’all think about this stone? It is one of those rings that I can’t tell of I love it or hate it. I purchased it at an estate sale for very little money. I didn’t try it on till I got home. It is way too big for me. But I put a sizer on it to make it fit. I really like the way it looks. At least it looks good from the top side.

Sorry the photos posted in opposite order that I wanted them. For fun I posted my hideous spacer on the ring.

I don’t really have a guess on the stone, but the silver work is lovely; and I’m especially loving the band. I can imagine that it does look good on, but then I like large chunky rings.

I really like the band too! But I have to cover it to make it fit. :sob:

Looks like you can still see the sides a little bit though.

Yes. It’s a pretty cool ring. Maybe someday someone in the family with bigger fingers than me will want it. I was thinking maybe variscite for the stone, but I really don’t have a clue.

I don’t know…it could be variscite but, it also has some Carico Lake similarities.
By the way, they make little bitty sticky pads that go on the inside of rings. You cut them to size. You can also pile more the one pad in your ring if 1 is not enough. Check out amazon for ring sizers.

Yep. @OrbitOrange has also shared the idea of cutting moleskin and applying it inside a ring shank or a cuff to tighten it up.

Nice! That way at least the band would be visible!

I would love it if it were Carico Lake! I tend to like the greener turquoise. That’s why I kept this ring instead of selling it. That and like Zia I like chunky rings too!
