Just love these 2 vintage NA turquoise rings, bought for the gorgeous stones. Any idea what kinds of turquoise these are? I thought one might be older Blue Gem, but that’s just from online photos and the other (dark green) one has me completely stumped.
Adding another, misidentified as Bisbee but it’s still gorgeous, looks like Stormy Mountain or possibly Blue Diamond to me (based on photos), what do you think?
Hello, It is hard to tell on the ring you asked the previous question about. I would call the rock next to it Turquoise Mountain. The bottom ring is a little tricky, I think you are right about the top stone being Stormy Mountain, but the bottom stone is different. It almost looks a piece of Persian Turquoise? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, the bottom ring is one of my favorites, the seller said it was an old pawn ring. I didn’t know two different stones were used in the same ring, was this a common practice?
Here’s another, a bracelet and ring set, I just adore the stone in the bracelet, one of the coolest I’ve seen; I think it might be Damale turquoise?
Hello Again, it is not uncommon for a piece to have different turquoise mines. These two stones have a very similar blue and look great together.
Terry always seems to have great stones. If I had this stone and didn’t know the origin I would call it Pilot Mountain. We have a few stones that look very close to this one. Thanks again for sharing.
