Yep;best quality of the 3 but least weight. But that’s how he operates. You know the “ball&cone” earbobs that were worn in multiples for hundreds of years? I mentioned that I’d seen that a guy had found 5 or 6 near Mackinac-huge gathering/ trade area-& how neat it would be to have real, 400yo stuff.

It’s hard to say what it is on any particular piece for me. They are all so individual with their maker’s quirks that it may be a great stone on one piece or an unusual design on another, or just looks like it’s had an interesting history. The first piece I bought was kind of beat up and uneven looking but the stones were different colors and it just called to me. The seller thought it was a family piece that wasn’t meant to sell. I don’t know about that but it’s the item as a whole for me…something about it just looks interesting.
