I live on a small farm in Western NY. The area is known as Windy Wyoming County. I’m surrounded by 300 acres of rolling alfalfa/corn fields to the west and the same to the East. I have an OTTB named Sam. (Off Track Thoroughbred) that I am rehabilitating. I have been riding, competing and training horses since 1950, and when I was able to buy my first horse, it was 1957 and she was a 2 yr. old Palomino from OK, for $25. Since then I have trained, boarded and competed until I lost my 23 yr. old TB to acute colic a year ago, and Sam was given to me for $1. I’ve been selling antiques, rugs, jewelry since 1970, and in 1999 started working forging metals starting with copper and brass then Sterling and fine silver. My love of Native American and Mexican jewelry started with my Palomino and my parents 2 month trip to Scottsdale, AZ and New Mexico in the late 50s. About 25 years ago my mother left me all the Native American jewelry, and that is why I signed up for this web forum. I apologize for such a long post, but honestly, it’s not easy to compress 70 some years into a reasonably brief profile.
