I am 69 and I have always loved Turquoise. I had 2 nice rings gave one to my neice. I bought a squashblossom necklace and ring and a watch at a yard sale near my house. the person that used to live there was Basque and his son was having the yard sale. I don’t think they knew about jewelry or turquoise because I got it for very little money. I didn’t feel at all bad because the son of the Basque guy had done me very wrong in earlier times. I wound up taking it to a pawn shop and just asking if they could tell me if it was real. I said right out I wasn’t interested in selling just finding out if it was authentic. (I had already heated a pin and it didn’t poke in and fingernail polish remover didn’t do anything.) The lady offered me $500. on the spot so I knew it was worth alot more. Then I took it to a Gem and Mineral show and another lady told me approximate value of the necklace the watch and the ring. I didn’t write it down but part of it is in my head.
