2 Large turquoise beads

I bought these a while ago from a lady over here, who bought them among some Navajo jewelry in Colorado, in the 80s.

I’m aware that it’s pretty much impossible to identify turquoise just from it’s looks, but am wondering if beads of this size, from that area and time period might be indicative of a certain mine. They are really quite big, ±1,5 inch in length.

They kinda have the look of Kingman nuggets that have had the matrix blackened by shoe polish. That used to be done back in the day. But that’s a lot of black on the back of one so…:person_shrugging: I also wonder about Chinese turquoise.

Thanks @Ziacat ! I also considered that they might be Kingman, hadn’t thought about Chinese. Guess they can be anything. I was hoping that very large beads like this could have pointed towards a certain mine, like for instance that when turquoise has a high dome cut it might suggest Persian, that sort of thing.
