And therein lies the paradox. An auction typically determines a fair market value for an item which is only known at end of auction.
I recommend searching for sold items by that maker. Shops may also have items for sale but remember they usually have a hefty markup from what they paid.

Saw this too in my recommended. It apperently weighs 83 grams sterling silver, current bid is about $210, which is slightly higher then the worth of the silver alone at current rates. It wouldn’t surprise me if there will be more bids. I like the bracelet and don’t think it would be a bad investment (but i guess it would depend on what the final price would be).

I think it’s hard to say. I found a number of pieces by this artist that vary widely in price. The artist is listed in my hallmark book, but they have no first name or any information about the person, so I don’t think their work is particularly well known.
