A fun stop at Palms Trading

I stopped into Palms Trading today.
I was driving by, and the turquoise gods grabbed the wheel again…!
I quickly spotted two bracelets by Anthony Bowman, who made the cuff I recently bought at a pawn shop.

Then I saw these six great tufa cuffs by Dino Garcia

This one was cool, but I didn’t catch the name of the artist

This one was so pretty

This bracelet was so fabulous. It really stole my heart! And it fit perfectly, too. Made by Harrison Bitsue.

A guy walked in and unwrapped some beautiful pendants to sell. His name was Leslie Nez, and he made these pieces that were already in the showcase.

I talked to him for a few minutes, and told him that his work was amazing!
I almost chased him down in the parking lot to see what else he had!

It would be dangerous if I lived in New Mexico. I think the turquoise gods would take control of my car quite a bit! Thanks for sharing your finds. Looks like maybe I see some Quentin Quam rings in that last photo? But what we really want to know is, did you buy anything?

Unfortunately, I did not buy anything.
Only because I just spent $550 on a dental crown two weeks ago.

But I took pics to show you all!
I will try to stop in there more frequently. The prices were pretty good!

Your shopping day was much more exciting than mine - I only went to DSW to get sneakers. Although that is better than a dental crown, yuk.

It’s all so gorgeous. I love Dino Garcia! The third one up looks like a tulip design, and the Anthony Bowman cuff with the crosses, beautiful. But that Harrison Bitsue cuff, oh my!! You may have to go back for that. It looks great with your cuff

I really enjoyed Palms when we were there in '21. I went in to get some jewelry fixed, and ended up buying a Zia sun ring. They did a great job with my stuff; did it while I waited - tightened a stone in a cuff, and some minor repairs on a ring and 2 pair of earrings. All for $35!

@Stracci Those cuffs are gorgeous! I would’ve wanted to buy them all. Only thing saving me are my extra skinny wrists, lol. Probably none would have fit me. Ahhh, that Bitsue turquoise cuff is a beauty! Looks wonderful on you.

“The turquoise gods” would take control All.The.Time. if I lived amywhere near there. Hubs would probably divorce me!!!

I love The Palms and hope I get to go back sometime. My husband dropped me off there and took my son to a museum for the afternoon so I could really dig in. The salesperson was patient and I learned a lot. Bought several pieces as well as some gifts and had so much fun!!

Those are all great; those bird rings are unusual, and the tufa cuffs are very striking!! Don’t see how you managed to walk away with nothing but then again, dental work is not cheap…but very necessary.

The cases were just packed with great stuff!
It was really too much to take in at one time.
My eyes were glazed over after about 20 minutes. I wanted to look at everything!

And Gertrude Zachary is across the street, and Old Town is just across the way. So a veritable sea of jewelry in that area.
If only I had lots more disposable income.
I hate when dental problems interfere with jewelry buying.

@Stracci that was me; soooooooooo much stuff, it was eye candy overload. It literally did take me a few hours to really look at it all.

Those dang bills!!! How dare they cut into our jewelry buying !

When I bought the Robert Yellowhorse ring, the owner told me if I had been there a half hour earlier I would have met him, because he had just dropped them off.

That would’ve been so cool!
I love to talk to the artists. That’s why I love Indian Market so much, meeting the amazing talent behind the beautiful jewelry.
