A new stamped cuff + barrette

I went back to the little chile shop where I got the Hopi barrette. I wanted to take another look at a cuff that I saw there.

So I bought the cuff, plus another barrette! This lady has very low prices on her jewelry, so I just had to get these pieces today.

I’ll need to polish them up better this evening. They’ve been in her display case for umpteen years, I’m sure.

She has a Tommy Singer cuff that I’m considering, too.

Beautiful! I love how your new cuff layers with the others. Interesting, I feel like they look pretty perfect as they are without being polished, but maybe it’s just the photo.

I also like your ring. I have a similar ring I should wear again. It’s just really thick and it kind of rubs my finger wrong.

Thanks @Phoenix7 @Ziacat !

Here’s another shot, I think this arrangement looks better……

The spoon ring is Wallace sterling, the pattern is Rose Point, made in 1934

I once said I didn’t like stacking cuffs, but I’ve totally changed my mind recently.

I think they look good both ways. I always feel like I have to figure out which way feels the best on my arm, which probably depends on the exact shape of the cuffs. And then it seems like my cuffs are either tightly fitted so you can’t put one up above without feeling claustrophobic, or they are looser and they roll around and bang on each other. Such a science to it

@Ziacat yes, there is the measuring with a ruler, up and down with the arm to see how they move, hoping I don’t smack myself in the head with all that silver😂

your cuff has a brother out there

Great looking cuff @Steve ! This is a low wholesale value for this cuff at today’s silver market. Spot is over $41.00, meaning at the supply house level, sterling sheet is selling for nearly $50 per Troy ounce. As an aside gold is over $3600 right now and heading for 4K.

Stacking definitely suits you Stracci. Congrats on your finds. Both are terrific pieces!

Thanks for this! I saw some others, but none were this close in style. And I paid considerably less for this cuff, so I got a good deal

I have some broken chains and other items that I was going to scrap last month, to fund the recent purchase of a diamond ring. Gold was 3350 at that time. I’m glad I waited. We’ll see how far it goes.

I’m really amazed at what’s happened with gold. I remember when gold spiked to 600 back in the early 80s. We all ran out to buy those flat herringbone chains that were so fashionable at the time.

Yeeees! As a ‘cuff junkie’ (with shorter arms no less), I can say feel and the lay or “carriage” as I call it, are absolutely key - Also, far more difficult than it looks! Lol Thanks for sharing your pic, it’s a great example.
