Age of this cuff?

Any thoughts on the age of this cuff? It is not marked, but is Sterling, and looks like it’s been worn quite a bit. There are a number of dings and bends and wear on it. I cleaned it up a little bit so I could see the stampwork but I think this is about as much as I want to make it shiny. :grinning:.

The turquoise in it appears to be different types, I think… On one side, there are three green ones, although the photo is not as green as they are in real life. The rest of them are varying colors of aqua. Altogether, I like the variety in this cuff.

Any guesstimates on the age? It seems like an older one to me and must have been worn a lot in its previous lives. The side shanks are fairly short, too… if I don’t arrange this one on my wrist correctly, it wants to pop off. Overall seems to be a more primitive piece.

My guesstimate is 50s, 60s. Wow I can see what you mean by the large gap relative to the rest of the cuff, making it something to manage. A lot of pretty turquoise! I look forward to hearing others’ take on the date.

I agree with 50s to 60s. It’s got an older look to it.

@chicfarmer thanks…the variety of color was what caught my eye, and how old and gnarly it looked, like it’s got some good stories to tell!

I wonder if this was a personal piece as opposed to a piece made for sale (and/or if the artist was learning on this one due to its uneven look and weird short shanks).
