Antique mall cuff

I like the neclace. It’s got a clean, modern look. But, those weird nuggets have got to go. (Having no hallmark & likely a knock-off, I wouldn’t have purchased it at that price.)

Agree. I wonder why they felt the need to put those nuggets in there? I also wonder if they were put on by someone else later. Weird.

The nuggets were awful, they almost looked like green plastic.
The seams on the beads were also concerning.

The color of the metal was weird and the reverse side was strangely shiny, so I felt certain that it wasn’t sterling like the tag states.

I went back to the antique mall today to take a second look at the Kirk Smith cuff. $495(if I remember correctly)
@here4turquoise requested a photo:

There was also this Garrett Hale cuff. Very nice!
$325

This one was delicious! The turquoise cab was so beautiful. I couldn’t find DR anywhere, to identify this cuff.

Thank you for the pic of the Kirk Smith cuff as well as the others. We just don’t have beauties here on the east coast. Lucky you! Did you come home with a “new to you”?

Paging @Steve on the DR hallmark.

I learned this from our legendary @Ziacat , who once said something along the lines of:
If I don’t absolutely love it, I won’t buy it.

Therefore, I did not buy anything.

They were all nice pieces, and the one with the cool turquoise fit me, but the price was too much.
They probably woulda gone down a bit, but there’s a bracelet at Palms Trading that I’d rather have, when the time comes to spend more money.

That is such excellent advice!

Late to the post, just surfing eye candy here.. it’s good advice that I also try to keep in mind of course, but what is one to do when some part of me always loves some part of all of them (or at least their stories)? Lol

That’s an easy answer for me. If I don’t love every part of it 100%, it doesn’t come home with me. I’m not getting any younger, and I can’t take my stuff with me, so I don’t want any regrets over what I buy.

@Ziacat Right! And don’t buy cuffs that can’t be adjusted, and rings that can’t be easily sized.

I made all these mistakes in the past, but you set me straight with this great advice!

Oh, believe me, I made plenty also  I think I have (mostly) learned my lessons. But I’m still trying to do better with that regarding clothes  (“but these jeans looked really good in the dressing room mirror …”)
