antique/vintage 2-4 yo child's sand cast squash blossom necklace

Hello. My first post. I have this very old tufa or sand cast piece for which I can find nothing similar. I’m wondering if it is for a toddler or 2-4 year old. It measures 10" in length. The closest I can find is nearly twice in length and gram weight, also for a child. This one weighs 18 grams. Any help with more information on this item would be appreciated. Is it a museum piece due to its rarity or was it made for someone’s doll, perhaps? Thank you.

I don’t see any stamps or markings.

Thank you for the welcome. Unfortunately I know nothing about this item. It was purchased at an art market of sorts and the seller didn’t have any information for me.

Thank you Fernwood. I appreciate your comments an look forward to learning more about native american craftsmanship and turquoise in general.

Welcome @Judy
I like your blosoom very much. Thanks for sharing : )

Nice squash blossom! I would date it to about the 70’s. The main reason for that is that the beads are bench beads; not entirely hand made. If you search the forum there are lots of posts discussing bench beads. They really became prolific around the 70’s. I do believe it is a child’s necklace; many Natives like to dress up even their very young children in beautiful jewelry.
