Any information on this ring is valuable to me!

Hi everyone!

I’m hoping the experts here can help me learn more about this turquoise ring I have. It’s from USA, and I believe it’s Native American made.

I acquired it from my mother who got it from her sister in Indiana (my aunt is no longer alive) many years ago. We don’t know anything about the ring.

  • Any idea on where it’s from?
  • Approximate age?
  • Rough value range (just curious)?

Thank you in advance for any insights – I really appreciate this group’s knowledge!

This is a tourist style ring. Companies like Bell’s Trading or Maisel’s would make these to sell to tourists in the southwest. This one is machine pressed with imitation turquoise and probably dates to the 50’s or 60’s. $40?

Thanks a lot for your information, it means a lot! It’s good to know. 50’s or 60’s sounds plausible. I will keep the ring with the information and pass it on to my children. Even though it’s a machine pressed tourist ring it has it’s own value and can still tell something about the Navajos. To me the ring has sentimental value. Again, thank you for posting!
