The stamp looks like “B. Nez” but the B is unusual. Could it be an A? Is anyone familiar with this mark and could say who made it?

Yes, I saw that, too. But no first name and the B is different looking.
B Nez is from the Nez family in Shiprock NM. S&A Nez is known for some superior jewelry . Just Google S&A Nez. Nice piece by the way. Here is a pic of a turquoise and coral ring I have from S&A Nez. I’ll be posting this ring with better pics in the for sale section today.
I’m trying to find what the B stands for in B Nez. No luck in my books and Internet searches. Shiprock narrows it down, but not much. Same with S&A, who are they, Sidney or Stanley and wife? Any more clues?
I believe her name is Betsy Begay Nez. There sure is a whole bunch of turquoise legend in that name. I see her referenced as Betsy Nez, Betsy Begay Nez and B.Nez. There are a few different signatures used also. B.Nez and BBN are two I have seen. I cannot swear that they are the same person but when researched they come up together a lot.
Well more snooping found this website has a ton of B. Nez work for sale and one person said he thought the name was Beatrice Nez. A few pieces had a note asking for any info on B.Nez. I guess we are not the only ones in search of. Jewelry Sterl Turquoise Nugget Belt Buckle B. NEZ | #1827622528
One thing I read says the artist (B Nez) is from Prewitt, NM. I found quite a few pieces online made by this person. I think the Hallmark that Jason posted here looks an awful lot like what’s on your ring. I know the B looks a tiny bit different (but really only on the left side), but the rest looks so similar.
perheiro - Thanks for that information. The mark on the turquoise buckle you linked to exactly matches the mark on my ring. It seems that B. Nez is (was) quite prolific. But still no luck finding what the B stands for.
