Acquired at a feast day, Jemez Pueblo, approx 1994. The turquoise color has always felt a little too uniform to be 100% right, and the matrix is an odd purple brown color. Ill still wear it, but would love to know if the stones are actually turquoise.

That makes me so happy! The heishi is really tiny, and I’ve always loved it.
That type of heishi was commonly combined with Turquoise or fetishes in AZ/NM.
I still have some I purchased in the 1980’s and use it.
Some of it is paper thin.
