These are not mine, a friend asked me to look at some jewelry she recently obtained. The necklace is nicely graduated, stamped, tests positive =/> .925 and is quite heavy, 76g.
My question what do these machine made bead necklaces typically sell for? My friend thought they were Navajo pearls so we had that discussion! She bought them with a small estate she purchased, so knew nothing about them. She loves them and they look great on her. I recommended she refer to them as southwest style stamped beads, but I really don’t know what is a reasonable value for a nice machine made stamped bead necklace such as this. She likely wouldn’t pay for true handmade Navajo pearls so this is a nice option since she likes the “look”. There’s something for everybody
Oh my gosh @here4turquoise & @tepowell you guys got it! I should have looked at the cones with a loop, missed the hallmark entirely (didn’t really expect them to be hallmarked!) I found the exact same beads on eBay stated to be: “Carolyn Pollack Southwestern Style Graduated Stamped Sterling Silver Necklace 24.” Asking $1001.77 obo. For that she can probably get actual Navajo pearls.
Funny the eBay description is pretty much what I told her to call them instead of Navajo pearls. She’ll be happy to see this information. As you can likely tell, I know very little about Carolyn Pollack jewelry (was it on QVC?).
