Bear fetish neklace broke....but do I repair?

I bought this necklace (maybe Zuni?) and within hours of purchase it somehow fell off my neck as I was standing up and one of the bears broke clean in half (below). As it’s a clean break with no fragments, it can easily be glued back and my instinct is to repair and restore, BUT I’ve also read that when a stone like turquoise breaks, it’s served its purpose and you should just let it go. But it seems like a waste to throw away the bear, whether it’s real turquoise or not. What’s the correct way to handle a broken fetish? Am not Native but is it OK for me to wear in the first place? Thanks for any advice.

Glue it. Is that the only one that broke? Even after repairing it you are going to have a uneven amount of bears on each side.

Thanks. Yup, just the blue one (spiny oyster one just got its front leg busted), it’ll be uneven either way (it is an old piece owned by someone else before I bought). I will probably replace the clasp too to be lobster claw or something that won’t fall off by me moving the wrong way. Will see the cost of repair.
