Bear Paw Squash Blossom Necklace

I posted this way back in March of 2017 and still don’t have any real information. The squash is 24” long plus a Naja that is approximately 3” by 2 3/8”. The weight is 161 grams. It is hallmarked A L. It looks like it may have been made by a lost wax technique and it also appears to have been coated with a rhodium type of substance. Time and a Sunshine cloth have gotten the from back to a silver look but I’ve never worked on the back and it looks glaringly white silver.
@mmrogers i think I have seen you discuss the lost wax technique before and would appreciate any insights. I also welcome anyone else’s thoughts and information.

Good eye, Island Momma. Definitely looks lost wax cast. The plating is very odd. Would have it tested for silver content.

I asked tested it 10 years ago And yesterday did it multiple times. Everything tested silver, except when I did a scratch into the back of the Naja And actually put solution on the back of the naja. Scratched in Mark turned blue, but then the liquid got on the coating and made everything milky. All of the marks that I tested on the stone turned blue using 18 karat solution. I believe it is really sterling.

Maybe if I have time tomorrow, I will go by the pawnshop and see what they’ll do.
