Bear Tooth Necklace?

I purchased this necklace about 35 years ago at the U.S. Department of Interior gift shop in Washington DC. I was told it was a grizzly bear tooth. The beads appear to be glass. Any information about it would be appreciated!

If it came from the Department of the Interior, I would assume it to be an actual bear tooth. The round, flower style beads can be bought at most craft stores so I would assume this could be made by anyone.
