Bolo tie identification

Can someone help me with this bolo tie identification? It is not marked sterling or 925 stamp, it has a JM with circle.

Welcome to the forum.

The bolo is hand fabricated, and is Zuni “style”, but is probably made off shore. There is what appears to be a bit cuprous oxide (fire scale) present on the back, but that could also be reflected color, so it may or may not actually be sterling. I’d be more inclined toward nickel. I don’t really see any natural tarnish on it (zero). It doesn’t look freshly buffed, and the piece has probably been around for years, which reinforces the impression it may be nickel rather than sterling. You’ll need to have it tested to know for sure.
