Cactus, Canyons, and Petroglyphs

Oh I like that! I love his work. I have one of his rings, and I wear it literally every day.

Beautiful cuff, @Ziacat. I don’t think it’s plain at all. Thank you for sharing photos of the pueblos. And I like your corn cuff, too!

Thanks! I would like to go back to Chaco.

The corn cuff was made by another Kewa artist, Dino Garcia. I also have two rings made by him, one of which I wear as my wedding band.

@Ziacat, very late to this thread but I also want to rejoice in your fantastic find. That cuff is both sophisticated and enticing. I love pieces that invite you to step into them with your imagination, and this cuff is surely one of the best examples of that. I am so happy you found it – and yes, it goes beautifully with your other bracelet and (I should imagine) many others too!

Thank you so much! The more I wear it the more I like it, and jewelry that makes me think of my travels to the Southwest makes me extra happy

Yeah, I liked it but, I eventually settled on this on by Anthony Bowman. It stacks really easily, and goes with pretty much anything. :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t see this as settling, this is beautiful!! :star_struck: :+1: The contrast of the polished perimeter bands against the dark, rough, as cast center is striking! Congrats!

Thanks so much @Ravenscry ! I guess that statement came off wrong. I didn’t mean settle in that “I chose a lesser piece”, I just meant -in the end I chose- this one because I liked it better :slightly_smiling_face:

You made a GREAT choice, what an amazing piece! It also has a pueblo/rock art look. I really like his work. I looked at one of his cuffs when we were in Bluff, UT last spring at Twin Rocks Trading Post, but it was too big. However, I do have one of his rings, and wear it everyday on my thumb. I think @Stracci also has one of his cuffs.

Here’s the one I considered at Twin Rocks…

Thanks @Ziacat Yeah, he does such clean, pretty work, and your thumb rings really spectacular! I want one! It has so much style and character! I’d wear it every day too!

I got that years ago at Zion Tribal Arts in Springdale, UT, and I didn’t know anything about the artist at the time. I absolutely love the look of your cuff. I like it better than the one that I considered last year.

Your two cuffs look great together!

I’m really into this petroglyph thing right now, and the tribal vibe I’m seeing in these tufa cast pieces that I don’t recall seeing much of before. I guess I was always looking at the Navajo heavy turquoise pieces. I do like the one you were looking at too. These cuffs really pair well with so many things. Ok, now I need to see if I can shake hubby down for one of his rings :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Good luck, and remember to tell him that you’re just being a wise investor of silver

I’m getting really close to buying the cuff (a different one) at Twin Rocks that I debated on last year. It’s still there!

This is sooo gorgeous!! I love it.

Yes, I do have an Anthony Bowman cuff of my own. I understand that he passed recently, so it is a real treasure.

Thanks @Stracci Oh no, did he!? Geez, that’s a tragedy! I’m glad I got one of his pieces then! I saw your stunning cuff of his! That’s the swirly one with the fleur de lis, right!? His best design ever. :slightly_smiling_face:

@Phoenix7

It resembles fleur de lys, but is actually a corn plant!

It’s one of my favorites.

What!? Well, of course it is! Why would he use a French design!? :upside_down_face:
