Can anyone ID TF on this opal and mixed gem inlay cuff?

I’ve looked through about 10 different Native American marks sites with no luck. Someone suggested Thomas Fransico but the pieces I found were signed in full and large single stones. The marks on the cuff are “T F” stamped individually and “Sterling” as one stamp. Can anyone ID the maker? Many thanks!

See if Thomas Francisco is a match on the style.

I noted in my post that Thomas Francisco’s work does not seem similar and he does sign with his full name. Is there a reason you suggested him?

I don’t think so as I mentioned in my post but thanks.

This is from pueblo dirct all there other listings for him say signed Thomas Francisco. I also have a small inlay pendant atributed to him. perhaps the TF on small pieces? Please chime in🧐

Both the onyx pendant and my cuff have plenty of room for a full Thomas Francisco signature so I’m not convinced that the TF mark is his. Did the Pueblo Direct page say that that the onyx was signed “TF” and did they suggest it was Francisco’s? I’m a bit confused.

Yep

I looked at the Pueblo Direct site. Too bad they don’t show the actual marks so I could compare to my cuff. However, none of his pieces there are multi-gem band inlay; he uses large single stones except in necklaces and squash blossoms. I don’t see any similarity to my cuff .

I looked for Thomas Francisco pieces on eBay; the sellers who claim to have a piece by him almost all have the full signature. The few who have just TF are not necessarily experts–they may want to cash in on the artist’s name and just assume TF is his mark. I don’t understand why the same person would squish a full signature onto a thin silver wire and use a sloppy TF on large pieces. Maybe I’ll try to see if Francisco is alive and can explain this. Thanks for your help!

Good idea or contact pueblo dirct and request photos they usually do. And please share if they do!

It does seem like Pueblo Direct is suggesting that TF is Thomas Francisco, but we all know things are constantly wrongly attributed (I DO NOT generally trust eBay and Etsy for example). I’m not super familiar with Pueblo Direct, but they do have the Indian Arts and Crafts Association Member logo. But you’re right, TF isn’t listed on the online hallmark sites as his. Weird. If you can’t find him online, maybe try contacting one of the really good stores like Perry Null in Gallup or Garland’s in Sedona?

Seems like I often forget to look in the unidentified section of the Amerindian site.

I just suggested Thomas F as a possibility, due to the similarity of your bracelet and other similar inlay work.
I did a quick search for Thomas Francisco jewelry and many pieces came up with the same TF mark as yours.
Agree it might be sellers who are trying to capitalize on the name who have no knowledge.
Sorry if I caused confusion.

@Juniper Not to add to any confusion but, I came across this cuff on eBay yesterday while researching the “TF” hallmark. While this listing doesn’t identify the maker, the cuff looks very similar to yours and has a TF hallmark. (My personal opinion is that TF isn’t the hallmark for Thomas Francisco.)

I have this exact same necklace…also attributed to Tomas Francisco. I love the inlay earth tones.

Thank you! I went to that site but did not realize they have an “unidentified” section. I think this is pretty conclusive!
