Can anyone identify the artist of this pendant?

I bought this necklace at the Native American Smithsonian Museum. Does anyone know the artist? I am assuming it is Zuni, however it is unmarked.

Looks like Santo Domingo to me.

Thank you! I will have to research that. I was surprised my necklace wasn’t hallmarked. I bought it before I knew about that, and now I don’t know the artist!

Here is a similar pendant with the same bail. Good possibility it’s the same artist.

Wow, It sure looks similar. I don’t think I paid this much for it. I bought it because I thought it was beautiful, and still do!

I have quite a few things that have no hallmark, and therefore don’t know the artist. That doesn’t bother me. How long ago did you buy it? Maybe you could contact the museum to see if they still have info about the piece.

Definitely looks a lot like the piece @TAH posted. If you Google Santo Domingo pendants you will get a feel for their work. I have a bunch of stuff by Mary Tafoya, so I’m familiar with this style.
