Hi there !

I really felt like I had to chime in. I have a feeling your ring is an authentic Cartier from Europe/France.

I am from Paris, France and was given a Cartier Trinity ring that belonged to my great grandmother.

I was curious about the ring/ dating it because the trinity is such an iconic piece to have.

im still unsure about what decade exactly my ring is from but given that it had no serial number , the Cartier 750 engraved on the inside of the rose gold band as well as makers marks/ eagle head on the outside of the rings I would say my ring is ante 1960s.

Cartier will not be able to formally authenticate it and provide you with a certificate , they do not Do that. However , the best way to authenticate your ring is to take it to Cartier to be serviced. If they accept it, you can be certain it is authentic. I took mine in to the Paris flagship and they had it cleaned for free. They could not Provide many details As to what decade it was from unfortunately.

Your ring is very similar to mine. The stamp you see on the outside is not a boar’s head but a French eagle head , the mark for all French gold pieces . The lozenge symbol is the makers mark for atelier Ponce (Lucien Ponce) , an atelier Cartier would outsource some of the work to for the making of the rings back in the day . I know because I have the same one on my ring . I’m by no means an expert but I find this fascinating and have been doing a lot Of research in the past few months.

I hope this helps
