Chief Shatka Bear Step Bolo

Hi Guys! Great site! Ive been learning a lot especially about my father and the appaloosa horse club he belonged to. My mother showed me this beautiful bolo he had that I had never seen before. Id love to wear it and I probably will but before I do I was just wondering how much is something like this roughly worth? Does it belong on my neck or a glass case! Thanks for your help!

I am not sure about the piece. Do you have any information on where your father acquired the piece? It appears to be chip inlay work, which would date it to the 1970s - 80s. The face I believe would be a cast piece that the artist dressed up with the coral and turquoise. Any additional information would be helpful, thanks for sharing.
