Hello. I am asking for info on Christin Wolf. He had a shop in Albuquerque but has since passed away. He is a well respected nationally known jeweler. Some people are selling his things as Navajo and/or “Old Pawn” …haha…but I cannot find much info on him. I would guess that he is not Navajo but is an accomplished jeweler, Do any of you living in and around NM have any info on him. I just purchased a very nice necklace by him and wanted clarification. I plan to keep this necklace and wear it. Much Thanks!

This seems to be what I mostly found. Christian Wolf was the name given to the design business which was founded by a gentleman named Jerry McKenzie. I read this in several places, not just the one I linked above. I believe I read in one place that they hired some Native American jewelers to work for them. I saw a Christian Wolf Facebook site, but I’m not on Facebook so couldn’t get into it.
I didn’t get the impression that he was Native American.

I agree Zia. Doesn’t seem NA. They say he is nationally known. You would think there would be more info on him…like background, awards won, where he studied or learned his craft, etc. Thanks for looking.

No, I sure don’t. But I do understand searching for somebody and not being able to get Info. Some pieces I’m sure I’ll never find out and I have randomly found out several years after the fact. Stumbled across the info by accident. Don’t give up hope!
