Anyone know who made this
You can’t just come here and post photos of only the back of your buckle. There are rules, you know.
@Piglet This hallmark looks like The Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild symbol/hallmark. It’s referred to as: Navajo horned moon symbol. I’m seeing this in my Hougart’s 3rd edition of NA and SW silver hallmarks, page 23. Sample in book also shows NAVAJO stamped along with the symbol.
Navajo Guild stamp—very desirable. Now let’s see the rest of it!
Sorry my internet went out but i posted of front
Thank you. Very nice! I like the simple stamp work allowing for broad areas of unstamped silver. The fact it’s a Guild piece makes it even more special.
Thanks for posting the rest! It’s a very nice belt. Unfortunately you won’t ever be able to tell exactly which silversmith made it, but just knowing that it is a guild piece makes it special.
Im sorry but i can’t understand what a guild peice means
Here is an article about it.
If you want more info about it, Google “Navajo Guild.”
