This mornings find, a cuff. No markings at all. It weighs 107 g. It’s 2" across the top, tapering to 1" at either side of the gap. The gap is 1-3/16", total inside circumference is 6-7/8", center stone is approx. 1-3/16" x 1/2".
Questions:
Approx. age, is this before the leaves became popular?
Value?
Is it indeed Morenci?
Very unsymmetrical wire decoration, is this novice work?
I would think this cuff is same time frame, 1980s. I think what is up with the ugly bezels is this is someone learning. It is hard to get a feel for this stone, at first I thought that was filler, then I see some quartz and haven’t ever seen that faked. If you look at the side view where you see the last stone that black is shoe polish, very common. I would call this stone Kingman, $180 - $225. These are two pictures of Morenci, you will notice pyrite, fools gold.
