Cute little coffin

I found this picking. I don’t usually gravitate to stuff like this but it was sterling and I thought it would be great to wear for Halloween  I think it’s some kinda flying bug on the sides.

Wonderful. Any hallmark? These type of rings (Memento Mori which means “remember you must die”) date back to the 1600s. A great and somewhat valuable vintage find judging from the cross inlay on what looks to be black onyx.

Cool ring. Are you sure that isn’t some type of angel? I don’t think a bug fits the theme of the ring.

I think it’s a bat, not a bug. I see little ears!
Cute!

Thanks Steve  It’s just marked 925. I thought it was a poison ring until I saw the little skeleton.

Hi islandmomma, I do see wings but I can never tell what things are. At first I thought it was a peace sign

Hi StraccI, Thanks so much. I kinda see a bat now that you pointed that out lol. I’m stoked that it actually fit, most rings are too big for me

Can’t decide whether this one is Goth or Emo…

That is such a super cool ring. I’ve never seen one that opens up like that before. I don’t know about you all, but September 1 I start decorating for Halloween :jack_o_lantern: My old house and cobb webs are in style :spider_web:

Lol Thanks so much GreenRock. There is a house by my son’s after school program that goes all out for Halloween. Graves, skeletons and they even sell pumpkins. I love seeings people’s creativity.

Lol that’s hilarious. That ring is in much better shape than mine. Somebody asked me if I wanted to sell it  I told them no but it’s funny the attention it gets.

I’m so glad you were able to get it back. I remember one time I was at a casino in New Jersey (20 years ago) and my wedding band fell in the toilet right after I closed the door. It was a plain 14K band that had some weight to it. It was my third band, so it wasn’t sentimental at all and I seriously considered leaving it. There was a lady that was working in the bathroom, replenishing towels and stuff like that. I asked her if she had any gloves and she said “Why?” So I showed her the toilet. She didn’t hesitate, she stuck her bare hand in the toilet and got it. Washed it off and gave it to me. I tipped her $20. She said she had just cleaned the toilets and it wasn’t a big deal but it was a huge deal to me though
