Dry Creek?

Those just don’t look like turquoise to me. It’s more the Matrix, or maybe I should say the lack thereof, that makes me think that. It’s like it’s dotted, so to speak. Whereas I think of turquouse Matrix as more lines and veins.

I mean, I know that turquoise Matrix sometimes is disjointed and looks a little like this, but something about this just doesn’t look like turquoise.

I just ran across my moss agate set that has been packed away for a while. Mine are not cabs so they may not be as easy to compare.
I will also try to find my Dry Creek pictures to post.

Hi @Islandmomma, I don’t think that’s the thread you meant to link.

Hi,

It looks like moss agate. Moss agate - Wikipedia. It is not turquoise, but it does make beautiful cabs and art objects. A rock hunter friend of mine recently picked up 50+ pounds of it near Billings, Montana. [He said that he would have got a lot more, but his vehicle and camper was already overloaded with “rock findings” from earlier in his trip…and he still had 1500 more miles to drive to get home;-).]

By the way, it’s a pretty bracelet but it may not be Native American (I’m not an expert, but the settings have an open back). In any case, wear it in good health!

Yup - your dry creek has that characteristic pale pale pale creamy minty baby blue. SO
Yummy! Color reminds me of 80s acid-washed denim.
